Bangladesh’s NDC Implementation Roadmap and Action Plan<\/a><\/strong><\/span> covers the period 2016-2025, with a focus on the period up to 2020. This initial Roadmap identifies 28 specific cross-cutting actions along with detailed actions in each of the sectors.<\/p>\n

As part of the NDC Implementation Roadmap, NDC Sectoral Action Plans have also been produced for the power, industry, and transport sectors. These action plans describe the actions that will be taken in each of these three sectors to deliver the GHG emissions reductions required to meet the overall GHG reduction targets as set out under Bangladesh NDC.<\/p>\n

They also consider how the power, industry, and transport sectors will be most impacted by climate change and what actions can be taken by these sectors to strengthen their climate resilience.<\/p>\n

Implementation of the NDC will require considerable resources in the form of climate finance: while the NDC Sectoral Action Plans provide information on the resourcing needs for each sector.<\/p>\n

The Roadmap also sets out the overarching approach for mobilizing the finance needed to implement the plan as a whole, including plans for quantifying the overall costs of implementation and assessing how best to access public and private sources of finance.<\/p>\n

The Roadmap and Action plan was retrieved from the\u00a0Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC)<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and was published in 2018.<\/p>\n

On 15 August 2021, the Government of Bangladesh submitted its\u00a0Updated Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs)<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n

On 25 September 2015, Bangladesh submitted its Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDC)<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n
